portion of what is referred to as
"Pleasure
Island" (Kure
Beach, NC comprises the southern
portion of
Pleasure Island).With its population of

5,700 residents, Carolina Beach

atmosphere.
Carolina Beach is about 12 miles south of
Wilmington, NC. When entering the area by car, you
will travel over the Snows Cut Bridge, traversing one of the
main channels where the Cape Fear River meets the Atlantic
Ocean. The views atop the bridge are spectacular. To your
left, you can see beautiful waterfront homes perched on the Northern tip of Carolina Beach. To
your right, you are likely to see traveling boats and fisherman
casting rods along the banks of the Cape Fear River.
For those who enjoy an active
lifestyle, the Carolina Beach State Park has a plethora of
walking and biking trails. The park, which covers over 760
acres and has dozens of species of trees, is on the northeastern
section of Pleasure Island.
